What is Talmaara?
Talmaara is a web-based worldbuilding and writing app that combines a lore database, a custom-calendar timeline, and a manuscript editor in a single workspace.
Each world gets its own calendar — custom months, eras, and day lengths — and every scene, character, and event is dated on it. As you draft, Talmaara compares those dates and flags contradictions: a character appearing after their death, an impossible age, an event that hasn't happened yet. The checks are date math on linked data rather than AI analysis; no model reads or writes your manuscript.
The lore library supports 13 entry types (characters, locations, factions, gods, creatures, flora and more) with cross-linking between entries, and lore can be dragged into prose as live links. Other features include maps, family trees, a pin board, universal search, shareable reader-facing viewer pages, DOCX and PDF export, and an offline desktop editor that syncs when reconnected.
