Tallspace is a Windows workspace manager that gives each monitor three vertically stacked pages. Keep a browser on one page, documents or spreadsheets on another, and terminals or other tools on a third. Scroll between them while the Windows taskbar stays in place.
Each monitor keeps its own workspace position, so changing pages on one display does not switch every display at once. Both maximized and floating application windows can be organized into workspaces.
Navigation and organization:
- Scroll or drag the compact edge control to move between pages.
- Use Ctrl+Alt+Up and Ctrl+Alt+Down to switch workspaces, or Ctrl+Alt+W to open the active window's workspace menu.
- Move supported windows between Workspace 1, 2, and 3 using the Apps and workspaces view or the title-bar workspace menu. Sending a window to another page keeps you on your current page.
- Select an off-page app from the Windows taskbar to return to its workspace.
Personalization and persistence:
- Position the edge control on the left, right, top, or bottom of each monitor.
- Choose workspace colors and optionally show page-color indicators on the edge control and running taskbar app buttons.
- Restore saved workspace assignments after restarting Tallspace.
- Optionally start Tallspace with Windows.
Tallspace runs locally, works offline, and requires no separate Tallspace account or cloud service. It is a one-time Microsoft Store purchase, currently US$4.99, with a free trial; local pricing may vary.
Tallspace is designed for ordinary Windows desktop apps. Protected, exclusive full-screen, system, or elevated windows may remain outside workspace management.
