There are more than 50 alternatives to Tabs Outliner for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Google Chrome and Firefox. The best alternative is OneTab, which is free. Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.
OneTab vs Tabs Outliner opinions
I use it for long time. The extension is not an etalon but good one. I used Tabs Outliner also but some bugs reason turn it off.

This is a Firefox add-on which provides the ability to operate tabs as "tree".
Tree Style Tab vs Tabs Outliner opinions
Tabs Outliner does two things: 1) It can act as a session manager; and 2) It provides a more readable, visual UI for sorting & organizing tabs (e.g. indenting/grouping)..... The "Tree Style Tabs" firefox add-on, AFAIK, provides only the second feature.... I have yet to see ANY add-on that does both 1) and 2). Therefore, I do consider "Tree Style Tabs" to be an alternative to Tab Outliner -- depending on what feature-set one is wanting.

Storing and grouping tabs are very useful. Onetab could help you to store the tabs you opened so that to free up your resources and remove clutter. But Onetab still lacks some features such as the simple list and just store selected tabs.
Better OneTab vs Tabs Outliner opinions
Better OneTab is the very best one because it includes tags which you can add to groups of tags, and those tags are listed too as they were categories.
It also has the skill to pin groups of tags. Those are treat like another categorie.
Yes, it has some bugs but the others ones have bugs too. Please, just install it and use it... There's a whole new level as there was a whole new level in websites before using tags for ordering things out a decade ago.
