Even when it may have a somewhat unpleasant aesthetic, it is fast and very light. This marvel is an essential part of the Freeware / OpenSource suite of applications that I always install and use on my PC.
Do yourself a favor, forget about other programs like Adobe Reader, etc.
Good for looking at a PDF quickly, but anything more and SumatraPDF just lacks very basic features, like filling forms.
Honestly, this just makes it useless for real use, because it would mean keeping two different pdf readers installed just in case you encounter forms.
It is light and spunky. However, I couldn't figure out how to see/hide layers and set a specific zoom (example: 37.5%). I use a projector for cutting out patterns so I need to have very good control over the zoom levels.
Lightweight, fast, non-cluttery UI and has all the basic functionality to read a PDF. I think it's more than enough for 90% of people

It's free and open-source. The portable version consists of a single executable file. It displays images with good quality. The interface could be a bit better, and the advanced settings are not user-friendly at all — you have to configure them through a config file, as there's no GUI for that. Plus, it's not cross-platform — only Windows is supported.
OPEN-SOURCE, lightweight program so it's extremely fast to open PDF(s), multiple tabs UI, multiple formats supports, I unilaterally declare: it is the No. 1 in the PDF Reader tools!!!
