Story Architect is a modern application for authors that combines the flexibility and simplicity of the user interface with an incredibly rich set of features. It allows you to work on projects of different genres and forms, store all the information about your stories inside one project, and provides many opportunities to improve the life of authors.

Why is it not free on Android :(
I'm curious where did you find this information? Current Android version is absolutely free. In the future it will be distributed similar way to the desktop app - free version with basic features, pro & cloud versions with advanced tools.
Promising FOSS writing tool with a modern, simplistic user interface. Unfortunately, the Free Tier is not worth using. Everything that makes STARC appealing is locked behind the Pro Tier, which requires a Subscription or $120 lifetime license (which is fair). You cannot self-host currently, and must pay extra for the Cloud Tier to sync between devices. Alternatives like Manuskript or Joplin provide equal or better features over this in my opinion.
