What is StorageBites?
Most cloud storage providers sell a small plan, then jump straight to 2 TB — there's nothing in between at iCloud, Google One, or Dropbox. StorageBites sells the middle: seven monthly tiers from 100 GB ($1/mo) to 1 TB ($7/mo) in $1 steps, so you pay for the storage you actually use and can change tiers any time.
Files are encrypted in your browser before upload — the storage layer only ever holds encrypted bytes. Photos and videos display in a built-in gallery with thumbnails and in-browser streaming playback; files can be shared with read-only links (viewing requires a free sign-in, no paid plan). New accounts get a 30-day trial with 5 GB, no card required.
Honest limits: uploads are manual (no background sync agent), there's no plan above 1 TB, and it's not zero-knowledge encryption — StorageBites manages the keys so that multi-device access and streaming can work.
