What is StackVitals?

StackVitals is a free, open source GitHub Action for CI health and delivery metrics.

When CI fails on a pull request, it leaves one comment sorting each failure into likely flaky, already failing on main, or new, so nobody has to dig through logs to know if the change caused it. A likely flake is re-run, never let through.

It also shows who each open pull request is waiting on, and tracks DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate and recovery time), finding where a repo deploys from without setup.

There is no server or account: history is kept on a branch in your own repository and the dashboard is a static page, so private repos stay private. It integrates with Jira, Linear, PagerDuty, Slack and GitLab, reads CDEvents and Flux deployments, and includes an MCP server for AI agents.
