What is Sshot-Pin?

Sshot-Pin is a free screen capture tool for Windows and macOS, built for teaching and presenting.

Capture any region and press Enter to pin it on top of every window. The pinned image stays visible while you switch apps, so you can keep a reference table, a chat message, or an account number in sight instead of alt-tabbing back and forth. Pins can be resized with the wheel, made translucent, rotated, folded away, or set to let clicks pass through.

Beyond pinning, it does three things you need in front of an audience:

Zoom - magnify the screen around your cursor up to 40x, freeze it, and refresh the background with F5 without leaving zoom.

Draw - annotate anything on screen with lines, rectangles, arrows, numbered markers, a blackboard mode, and a laser pointer that fades on its own.

Cover - mosaic private data before you share your screen, or drop a cover over an answer and click to reveal it later.

A class timer and a history of the last 24 captures are built in. Everything runs from the tray with global hotkeys, and captures are never uploaded anywhere.

Free, no ads inside the app, available in 9 languages. The macOS build is signed and notarized by Apple.
