Free for any income level; free for state; free for federal.
This year with taxes was horrendous, it wanted me to file a false return. I have items held over from previous years, it did not even ask me about them. I would understand if it asked and gave me a message stating they do not cover this and I need to use another service. It did not. If I did not know the convoluted tax system, Cash App was going to let me file my taxes without ever asking me, I went through everything to validate I had not missed anything. I used three other online services to validate and all 3 asked. I wonder how many false returns are coming from Cash App this year, I know they took over the service from Credit Karma after they had M&A last year but Credit Karma taxes would have never missed something like that.
It used to be the best Tax filing system until Square company sue Credit Karma and the Judge agree that Square should have the rights to Credit Karma.
Now it forces people to use Cash app and all it's scam Square company does in it's app to get money for themselves.
Do not use it, Cash App is a scam.
That is not accurate at all. When Intuit (owner of TurboTax) acquired Credit Karma for $7.1 billion in 2020, the U.S. Justice Department ordered Intuit and Credit Karma to divest Credit Karma Tax for antitrust reasons, since TurboTax already has a large market share in the U.S. tax preparation software market. Square (owner of Cash App) made the best offer and bought Credit Karma Tax for $50 million, rebranding it into Cash App Taxees. Square did not sue Credit Karma, and both Square and Cash App are legitimate. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-requires-divestiture-credit-karma-tax-intuit-proceed-acquisition-credit
Their support sucks, they ban accounts for no reason. If you accidentally sign up for a business account you cant go back unless you close your account and reopen.
