What is SpreadPaper?

SpreadPaper is a free, open source macOS app that uses one high-resolution image as a single continuous wallpaper across every connected display, instead of repeating the same picture on each screen.

It compensates for the physical bezel gaps between monitors, so the image lines up across the seams the way it would on one very wide screen. Display positions and resolutions are read straight from macOS system settings, so an arrangement of two, three or more monitors at different sizes is handled automatically.

Position the image by dragging it on a live preview, zoom and flip it, then save the result as a preset to switch between later. It also supports separate Light and Dark wallpapers and time-of-day schedules, and renders each display at its native resolution rather than scaling one shared bitmap.

SpreadPaper is written in Swift and SwiftUI as a native Mac app. It is MIT licensed, requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later, and ships as a DMG and a ZIP from GitHub with no account and nothing to pay for.
