Speechius is a desktop teleprompter for recording tutorials, giving presentations and speaking on video calls. It follows the words you say and moves your script to the reading line, so you do not have to match a fixed scrolling speed. You can pause, repeat a passage or click a word to set your place.
The window can stay above other apps, with adjustable size, text size and transparency. Capture-exclusion mode can hide it from common screen-sharing and recording paths. It runs alongside Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and OBS without a plug-in for those apps. Capture exclusion depends on the recording method and requires Windows 10 version 2004 or later on Windows; it cannot hide text from a camera pointed at the screen.
Projects can contain multiple scripts, changes save automatically, and projects can be exported and imported as .speechius files. The interface and speech recognition support English and German.
Speechius runs on macOS 13 or later and Windows 10/11. Windows uses local speech models. On macOS, it requests Apple's on-device recognition first; offline availability depends on the system. Paid licenses need periodic online validation.
There is a full 14-day trial with no payment card required, starting with the first speaking session. The current one-time prices are €30 for Pro, for one person on up to two devices, and €60 for Studio, for one company with up to five seats. Both editions include the full feature set and 12 months of updates. After those 12 months, the purchased version keeps working. There is no subscription.
