What is smry?

smry is an AI-powered article reader that turns articles and YouTube videos into a clean reading workspace. It combines distraction-free reading, configurable AI summaries, text-to-speech, highlights and annotations, article chat, searchable reading history, and export to Notion, Obsidian, Roam, Markdown, and JSON. The web app supports free reading without an account, six interface languages, and Chrome and Firefox extensions.
