What is Smolpad?
Smolpad is a menubar-first Markdown notes app for macOS, with companion apps for iPhone and iPad (universal purchase). Click the menu bar icon and a notes panel drops down; type, and everything autosaves as plain .md files stored in the user's own iCloud Drive or Dropbox. There is no database and no lock-in: the files can be opened with any editor, on any device, and they outlive the app.
Markdown styles live as you type with concealable syntax, task-list checkboxes are clickable, inline #tags filter the note list, and panels tear off into regular windows when more room is needed. Fourteen editor themes, custom menu bar icons, and a distraction-free writing experience round it out.
Free for the first ten notes with every feature included. Smolpad Pro (subscription or one-time lifetime purchase) unlocks unlimited notes.
