What is Skydrix?

Skydrix is a self-hosted platform for building and operating DVB-S/S2 and IPTV streaming systems. It receives satellite transponders through Linux DVB adapters and can also ingest custom network streams. Channels can be delivered through HLS, HTTP MPEG-TS, UDP, RTP, SRT, RTSP, and other supported inputs and outputs. The web interface provides a visual workspace for transponders, channels, signal status, bitrate, errors, and stream health. Skydrix supports multiple channels from a single transponder while keeping channel operations isolated where possible. It includes Softcam and BISS support for authorized conditional-access workflows. Live Preview helps verify streams directly in the browser, with optional FFmpeg fallback. The built-in EPG system supports configurable provider parsers, channel mapping, scheduled updates, manual refreshes, and XMLTV export. The Pro edition adds features such as satellite sun-outage calculation, EPG management, DVB tuner visualization, automated scanning, DVR archive tools, and transcoding integration. Skydrix includes a FFmpeg-based multi-server transcoding architecture with agents, health reporting, profile-based renditions, and support for hardware encoding when available. It is designed for operators who want a controllable, self-hosted alternative to cloud video platforms for satellite reception, IPTV distribution, monitoring, and archival.
