What is Site-Shot?
Site-Shot (site-shot.com) is a website screenshot API and free online screenshot tool. Capture any URL as a PNG or JPEG with a single GET request — real Chromium rendering, full-page capture up to 20,000px, device emulation, and country-specific proxies in 44 countries (IP, language, time zone, geolocation). Each proxy pool's real exit country is verified against a majority vote of independent GeoIP sources, and a strict mode fails fast with an explicit error rather than silently capturing from the wrong country. It can automatically strip ads and cookie banners for clean screenshots, which also cuts token cost when feeding images to AI vision models. An official MCP server (npx -y site-shot-mcp) brings the same capture tools to Claude, Cursor, and other AI agents. The browser tool is free with no registration; the developer API starts at $5/mo for 2,000 screenshots ($2.50/1,000), with overage as low as $0.0008 per shot ($0.80/1,000) on higher tiers — typically cheaper than ScreenshotOne, Urlbox, and ApiFlash.
