Siliconed

Siliconed is a free, open-source macOS app for local text-to-image generation and AI image editing on Apple silicon. It runs recent diffusion models natively in Swift and Metal: Krea 2 Turbo, Z-Image Turbo, Qwen-Image-2.1 Turbo and Anima Turbo. No Python, no server, no cloud: nothing leaves your Mac, and it works offline once a model is installed.

• Text-to-image in the usual formats, up to 1024×1536, in 8 steps; about 85 s at 1024² for Z-Image Turbo on an M1 Pro with 16 GB.
• Edit a photo with one sentence (Qwen-Image-2.1), with up to three reference images.
• LoRAs from Civitai (kohya, ComfyUI, ai-toolkit layouts); PNGs keep their settings in the format Civitai reads.
• Runs 34 GB models on a 16 GB Mac: weights are streamed from disk, and the memory need is computed before the render, within a fixed budget.
• Each model is checked against its reference implementation, stage by stage.
• Three installs per model: Standard (published weights), Compact (8-bit) or Light (4-6 bit GGUF).
• A real Mac app: history, undo, variations, enlarge, sharing, in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. Scriptable from the terminal with silicontrol.
