What is Showboard?
I got tired of four apps open at once just to hear one night of music. Local FLACs in one player, nugs.net in another, an Archive.org show in a browser tab, TIDAL off to the side. So I built the player I wanted. Showboard puts six sources behind one search bar: your local library, nugs.net, TIDAL, Qobuz, Archive.org, and Phish.in. Search once, hear it all.
Output is bit-perfect to your DAC through CoreAudio HAL exclusive mode, with sample-rate matching, gapless playback, DSD (DSD64 via DoP), and a 10-band parametric EQ with headphone crossfeed. The kind of signal path you'd run through Roon or Audirvana, without the subscription. It's native Swift, not Electron, so it opens fast.
And it actually knows what a live recording is. Set I, Set II, Encore. SBD, AUD, and Matrix badges. Taper notes from the person who recorded the show. A Concert Diary that tracks every show you've been to, with "I Was There" cards you can share. Roon runs $14.99 a month or $829.99 for life. Showboard is $39.99, once. macOS 14+. If you've been to the shows, you know.
