What is Shorty AI Video Editor?

Shorty is a browser-based AI video editor for footage you already shot. You upload your video clips and photos, then describe the edit in a short brief or attach a reference video whose pacing and structure you want to follow. Shorty analyses the footage, chooses the shots, plans the pacing and applies cuts, reframing, captions, transitions and colour, then renders a finished MP4 in the cloud, with no timeline to operate.

You revise with a follow-up instruction such as "make the second shot longer" or "end on the product", and Shorty renders a new version while keeping the original. Output works for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and X in vertical, square or widescreen formats.

Shorty also connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex over MCP, so an edit can be started and revised from a chat window.

It is built for creators, marketers and social media teams who have footage and need finished short-form videos without editing them by hand. It is not a frame-by-frame timeline editor, and it doesn't generate scenes you never filmed. 199Paid plans start at $19 a month. There is no free plan.
