The open-source keeps my costs down, but there is a lot of support if needed. The platform is intuitive and the community is fabulous.

No monthly subscription fees and an open source model which is stable and secure. Its not particularly resource hungry. My 30bees shop webhosting fees costs me £5 per month. You can get free support from their forums or the option for paid support should you require it.

It is open source and does not have the limitations that shopify has as far as what the actual software can do. It also does not have the monthly fees and per transaction fees that shopify has.

With Vepp you can easily install WordPress, assign a domain, and get a free SSL. You'll be sure your website is stable and secure. Vepp will take care of technical details. It can set up a server, install a CMS, configure a domain and an SSL, while you can focus on what’s truly important for you: create a website, promote it, and populate it with content.

WooCommerce is free (but you need WordPress hosting which is around $3/month), there are tons of free plugins and themes and there is loads of online support, WooCommerce is the most popular eCommerce solution in the world, even more popular than shopify.
