What is Shima?

Shima (島, "island" in Japanese) turns the Mac's notch into a Dynamic Island. It shows Now Playing with artwork, a waveform tinted by the cover, a scrubber and output switching. You can swipe between pages: Calendar, a Timer with a ruler you slide, System stats and a file Shelf. Notifications appear in the notch, and you can reply to chats right there. Live activities show AirPods connecting (with battery), charging, Caps Lock, Focus, and drives with an Eject button. It can hang from the top edge like a notch or float like iPhone's island, set per display, and works on Macs with or without a notch. It's native Swift, idles at about 0% CPU, and nothing leaves your Mac.
