AWS Cloud9 is a code editor and development environment built with browser technology yet with the power of a desktop IDE. It's available both as an online service and as a locally hosted platform.
AWS Cloud9 vs ShiftEdit opinions
It's like a virtual box embedded in a browser. Vou van even run vim inside their terminal emulator (well, you can't use any Ctrl-W or Ctrl-Q shortcut...) C9.io team is the one who created the ACE editor. And here we can see it at its fullest power, with vim mode and sublime-like UI. Truly awesome, you can setup a development web server and run the app (PHP, Python, Ruby, you name it), Almost like having a hosted virtual machine (which is what it is, in fact...)
Codeanywhere vs ShiftEdit opinions

PythonAnywhere is a Python development and hosting environment that displays in your web browser and runs on cloud servers. The servers are already set up with everything you need: hundreds of useful Python packages and web frameworks are supported out of the box.
