Closest complementary to Notepad++, absolutely worth the low fee of $5 a month. It's a life-saver.

It has very easy integration with popular tools such as Dropbox, and will automatically sync your "ShiftEdits" to your Dropbox files, which is a feature that not many online-IDEs have. Most online-IDEs just allow a group to collaborate on the same code and nothing else; the saving of the collaborated code is left to the group members themselves. An online-IDE with automatic file-synchronization is always better than a bare-bones online-IDE that only has real-time-collaboration. ShiftEdit's ability for both file-synchronization and real-time-collaboration is what sets it apart from many alternative online-IDEs... even some of the highly rated ones!
