What is ShellPilot SSH Client?

ShellPilot is an SSH client and SFTP file manager for Android, maintained for Android 15 and 16. It connects with a password or a key (Ed25519 or RSA, in OpenSSH or PEM format), and handles servers that sign in through a login prompt — macOS Remote Login and PAM setups — as well as two-factor verification codes.

When a connection fails it says why and what to try: wrong password, wrong port, a host that is not reachable from this network, a .local name Android cannot resolve. A wrong password is never retried behind your back, so a server's login limits do not lock you out.

Also included: an extra-keys bar (Ctrl, Esc, Tab, arrows), an offline local shell, local port forwarding, saved commands with variables, a server health view (CPU, memory, disk, Docker) over SSH with nothing to install, and known-host checks. No account is needed.

Free for 3 servers, with ads. Pro is a single purchase — unlimited servers and keys, full SFTP (upload, rename, delete), running one command on many servers at once, and no ads. No subscription.

Also on iPhone and iPad. Two-factor and login-prompt sign-in reach the Android version first.
