What is SecureShare (QR Safe Share)?
SecureShare is a free web-based tool for sharing passwords, sensitive text and configuration data through one-time links.
Encryption and decryption take place locally in the browser using AES-256-GCM. The encryption key remains in the URL fragment and is never sent to the server. The server only stores encrypted data.
Shared information can only be retrieved once and is automatically deleted after it has been viewed or when the selected expiration time is reached.
SecureShare also includes password recognition, making passwords easier to identify and copy from larger pieces of text. It supports larger text and configuration data, making it useful for sharing credentials, API keys, VPN configurations and other sensitive information.
A two-step reveal process means the secret is only retrieved after the recipient explicitly chooses to view it, preventing ordinary link previews and automated URL scanners from consuming a one-time secret.
SecureShare is free to use and does not require an account.
