Currently, you can't edit the mesh anymore once you've started painting on it. Apart from that and the occasional crash it's a great piece of software. Did I mention it's free?
Another downside is that it hasn't been updated to be able to run on Windows 10. I did update one computer that ran Win 7 and Windows 10 allowed my copy of Sculptris to keep working. A new computer with Win 10 on it wouldn't run.
I absolutely love this program, it's very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Sculptris is an amazing achievement but people familiar with the Zbrush demo may find Sculptris (Alpha 5) lacking in some regards and takes a little while to get used to but with some practice & patience it becomes obvious that Sculptris (Alpha 5) really is a powerful alternativeTo Zbrush, especially when you consider the fact that the guy who developed Sculptris "Tomas Pettersson" is now working for Pixologic, the creators of Zbrush! "The original version 1.02 of Sculptris is now available under the name Alpha 5, free of charge for anyone to download and use without limitation. There is no official support, but an active and friendly community should be able to help you with any problems: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?s=2314fbfea54c0f335fcf40a3c1068500&f=110
