It runs on Linux in a web browser, all your work is saved in the cloud, it's fairly inexpensive to subscribe, it has a super story grid, it has grammar and spell checking, it has an organizer so you can drag your scenes and chapters around, and it exports to a DOCX manuscript.

Celtx is primarily for multimedia. While one might use Scrivener to initialize such a project, it would be inefficient to do so. Therefor Celtx is off the mark for the purpose of Scrivener

This is software for aiding the process of screen writing and storyboarding for film, movies, tv shows and similar things. It is NOT trying to be used for novel writing, the primary purpose of Scrivner.

This app is the closest to Scrivener without the headaches and famous learning curve. It literally does almost everything Scrivener can without driving you insane. Why so few people know about this app is beyond me. And like Scrivener, it is a small one-time buy.
