What is ScreenWeaver?

ScreenWeaver is an AI-powered story production workspace for screenwriters and filmmakers, built by Outerframe Studio and currently in open beta. It connects screenplay writing, story structure, visual development, storyboard generation and AI-ready production prompts so creators can move from script to vision without losing continuity.

You write in an industry-standard screenplay editor with unlimited projects and pages, and the storyboards you generate stay attached to the exact scenes and beats they came from. Characters, locations and objects are tracked as reusable entities, so what was established in scene 3 is still true in scene 47 - the continuity that usually breaks when a script, a moodboard and a folder of AI prompts live in three separate tools.

Pre-wired visual workflows turn scenes into shot-ready prompts for AI image and video generation, and screenplays export to PDF and Final Draft (FDX). The app is installable and supports offline editing.

Pricing: the Screenwriter tier is free, with unlimited projects and pages, the screenplay editor, outline and beats, and PDF and Final Draft export. Storyboard Beta adds the storyboard workspace, storyboard generation from the screenplay, and frames linked to scenes and beats, at 9.99 USD per month. A Filmmaker tier adding continuity-aware visual planning, a research assistant, the visual workflow engine and real-time collaboration is announced for late August 2026.

ScreenWeaver is aimed at solo screenwriters, independent filmmakers and small production teams working on films, series, commercials, 3D animation, anime and music videos. For the writing stage it works as a free alternative to paid screenwriting software such as Final Draft or Celtx, with visual development built into the same document.
