What is screenpipe?

screenpipe is a local-first AI memory and workflow automation app. It captures screen and audio activity, indexes it on your device, and lets tools such as Claude and Codex search what you have seen, said, and heard. Use screenpipe to recover past work, generate meeting notes and SOPs, maintain an Obsidian wiki, or run scheduled agents called pipes. It includes an MCP server, local API, app and window exclusions, deletion controls, PII redaction, and support for local AI models. screenpipe runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It is source-available under the Screenpipe Commercial License, with free personal non-commercial use and paid official builds.
