What is DayDream by Nicholas Fong?

DayDream keeps a local timeline of the apps, windows, documents and optional Chrome pages you worked in on your Mac. Connect Claude, Cursor or another MCP client and ask “What did I get done today?”, “Where did I leave off?” or “What was I working on Tuesday afternoon?”

Activity is stored on your Mac. It does not record screen video. Typing capture is opt-in per app. Context retrieved by a connected AI client goes to that AI provider as part of the chat.

DayDream is free and open source under the MIT license. It supports Apple silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later.
