What is ScreenMetric?

One score can't tell you whether the acting carried a weak script, or a gorgeous film fell apart in the edit. ScreenMetric scores ten categories per film instead of one: plot, dialogue, acting, direction, cinematography, production design, editing, musical score, sound design, and impact/enjoyment.

Every category is optional. Rate all ten for a full breakdown, or score Impact / Entertainment on its own for a quick flat overall. The person credited sits right beside the craft you're scoring them on.

The community average for a category stays hidden until you've rated it yourself, so you form your own opinion before you see anyone else's.

Films come from TMDb. Trending and popular lists carry their community rating, and you can switch Top Rated over to rank by ScreenMetric users' category scores instead. Hidden Gems narrows that to older, lesser-known films that rate highly. All of it filters by genre and decade.

The Stats tab adds your ratings up: score distribution, averages by category and decade, the genres you rate most, and the directors, actors, cinematographers and composers you score highest. Tap anyone credited on a film to see everything they have worked on with your own score beside each one.

Also: see where a film streams in your region with the services you already pay for marked, import your IMDb ratings export, publish written reviews under a public username while your category scores stay private, and export a share card of any film's rating.

Free with no ads and no tracking, in sixteen languages. Pro is one purchase, not a subscription: watchlist streaming alerts, unlimited IMDb import, the Taste tab, rating history, CSV and JSON export, and three extra themes.
