What is SADFinder?

SADFinder is a native macOS file manager for people who like the Mac but fight Finder every day. It brings Windows File Explorer-style behavior to macOS: Enter opens files and folders, Backspace goes up one level, Delete moves selected items to Trash, Cmd+R renames in place, and Cmd+L focuses an editable path bar. It also includes tabs with restore, per-window navigation history, file cut and paste across tabs, quick folder filtering, six view modes, sidebar favorites, cached folder sizes, real Desktop control, and keyboard window snapping for the frontmost app. SADFinder is built in SwiftUI for macOS 26 Tahoe or later, supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and has no Electron shell, analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
