Comments about PuTTY as an Alternative to Royal TSX
Putty only does a small fraction of what RoyalTS does. I like how RoyalTS allows you to list all your servers, then you can choose how you want to connect ad-hoc (SSH, SFTP, VNC, Telnet, RDP, etc.). I usually connect via SSH to my servers, but occasionally I need to transfer files via SFTP/SCP or test the GUI via VNC or xRDP.
It's a terminal emulator not a remote desktop client.

This alternative is disputed. PuTTY is a legitimate Royal TSX alternative, but it might have issues that some users think are important.
- PuTTY is Free and Open Source
- PuTTY is Lightweight

PuTTY is not really a remote connection management software in the way Royal TS is, which also does RDP, VNC, FTP and many many other things.
