The UI is logical. Has all necessary modules, of which I only need texts and spreadsheets. However, I could not find the full screen mode in its PDF viewer. It has a calc also, and a couple of other business apps for diagrams, schemes. It takes 435 Mb of SSD space.

Source code is not available. Latest exe version is from 2023. No linux native? Only a single exe. Not trustworhty website.

With Verbum you can load, save and convert to and from today’s most popular text-based document formats (DOCX, DOC, HTML, RTF, TXT, XML, ODT, EPUB, MHT, etc). Additionally can save documents to PDF and EPUB format. Sheets is a spreadsheet able to open XLS, XLSX, CSV, TXT.
Registration is not required.

It is currently the most optimal free alternative to MS Office, if you need only basic word processor and spreadsheet editor. Brought by the company behind the advanced Windows notepad, namely Notepad3
