Renewvane

Renewvane is a web-based failed-payment recovery service for small SaaS businesses that use Stripe subscriptions. After a subscription invoice fails, it can send up to four plain-text payment reminders over nine days, using the customer's brand name and reply address. The reminders link to Stripe-hosted pages for updating a card or completing payment confirmation, and stop when the invoice is paid or otherwise closed.

The service assigns a configurable random holdout group, 15% by default, whose failed invoices receive no Renewvane emails. Its monthly Proof Report compares recovery in the emailed and holdout groups to estimate recovery attributed to the emails beyond Stripe's own retries and customer emails. Customers connect Stripe with a restricted API key, and Renewvane also offers a browser-based Leak Check that uses manually entered Stripe totals without connecting an account.
