Creator Dunning

Creator Dunning is failed-payment recovery for independent creators who bill memberships through Stripe, such as Ghost publications, WordPress membership sites and custom Stripe Checkout.

It connects to your own Stripe account. When a subscription renewal fails, it emails the subscriber from your name, with replies going to you and a link to Stripe's page for updating their card. It follows up every three days for up to 30 days and stops as soon as the invoice is paid. Subscribers who are already past due are picked up when you connect, and a free audit shows what failed payments cost you over the last 90 days.

It only reads subscriptions, invoices and customer emails. It never charges, refunds or edits anything in Stripe, and you can disconnect at any time.

Pricing: free up to 100 tracked subscribers, $19 a month up to 2,000, and $49 a month for unlimited. Creators who connect by December 31, 2026 get the paid tiers free until June 30, 2027.
