Comments and Reviews
It Works, Good Customer Support and priced reasonably.
I switched from LogMeIn Central to RemoteToPC. It has almost everything LogMeIn has plus a few new items. Deployments are much easier and do not require asking the user their username and password (many struggle to find their username). Check the videos on their website. They give a good idea of how it works. The company is very responsive (usually within an hour) to support email questions.
Hey, in addition to RemotetoPC and alternatives mentioned above, one can also have a look at on premise R-HUB remote support servers for all your remote support and remote access needs. It offers collaborative remote support and knowledge sharing.
An extremely cost-effective solution for remote access and control of computers! I can use this product for less money per year than TeamViewer wants per month!!!
This software is good yet I had to switch to eHorus as they got me covered with the many devices I need to set-up with the remote. It would be more efficient to get 1 software solution that would cater different platforms I need to use. I also need a cloud-based system that they also offer.
This beautifully designed piece of monitoring software performs well and does the monitoring trick almost the same way as some competitors like LogMein, but for less than a quarter of the price. Installing the software is a piece of cake! You can group your clients, check the heartbeat of your servers (critical system alerts will appear on your mobile or via mail), can do the necessary checks on harddisk space, CPU and memory and you can connect to the remote PC's / Servers within seconds. File transferring is no problem, remote reboot of PC's is 1 press on the button, and the look and feel of the Command Center is great! We are the first in the Netherlands to use this software and we were amazed by the speed of their support after running into some installation problems. They helped us out, even in the weekend and made a whole new version in order to solve our problems. So the customer support is superb!
RemoteToPC is our new remote access software - we just cancelled LogMeIn Central after many years of loyalty because of its new higher pricing structure & our ailing Canadian dollar skyrocketing this year's renewal fees.
We need remote access to laptops & also as back-door access to physical servers/VMs in the event of a DC going off-line, or our VPN going down.
RemoteToPC gives us this PLUS Heartbeat monitoring of critical HA physical servers/VMs - bonus!
I like the various deploy options - I was able to install RemoteToPC to 35+ remote physical servers/VMs & laptops in less than 30 minutes!
Support response to questions is quick and effective. It all just works.
Hi KayDee. Im looking same Logmein alternative. How is working this new RemoteToPC on servers? We are monitoring mainly HP Proliant servers. Is it working correctly on slow Matrox G200 videocards? For example Splashtop software had problem on this. How do you rate this company? I had to try free trial but they want my CreditCard numbers before registration and any test run...
best regards
Julius

Hi Juluis,
The RemoteToPC is working great on our servers...our physical hosts are 3 yr old Lenovo ThinkServer RD430 models, running WS2012R2 O/S with Hyper-V, in co-lo datacentres. Splashtop did work on these physical servers when I trialed with them. We're running many VMs with O/S of W2008R2, a few W7E VMs, 2012R2, W10 VDIs...and W10 i7 laptops with multiple monitors.
I can't give you any advice on your specific videocards.
RemoteToPC support is excellent and responsive, although I haven't needed any assistance since I first loaded all the various machines.
We're only missing the benefit of the LogMeIn Ignition console feature (which I was told will be a future release feature of RemoteToPC). The RemoteToPC Remote Viewer works MUCH better than the LogMeIn remote access screen - and we discovered this week that it also works across 4 monitors, and then you zoom in on the one you need to work on. No so in LogMeIN - working remotely on multiple screens on a desktop/laptop was so annoying, with only one monitor available at a time.
Don't be concerned about the credit card required...I wrote them about that in the beginning and they reassured me that the credit card wouldn't be billed until the end of the 2 week trial. And it wasn't. The account UI is very easy to use and if you decide to not enroll, just cancel the card on your account before the end of the 2 weeks.
They are VERY quick to respond to any of your questions or concerns. That was another reason that we decided to go with them. Go ahead - try them out.
