I'm excited to see how it developes and evolves independent of its roots. Mak Gam.
A protest fork of godot with no additions. You can keep an eye on it, might become something in the future. But as it stands its merely a political statement.
Competition within Godot and Redot is healthy as Redot is encouraging Godot to focus more on Development rather than politics
They are stealing code from other project's abandoned PRs without credit
You can't "steal" open source code… but yeah they should credit it more than "cherry-picked from blazium"
I mean commits without attribution to the original author, except a link which was only added in the PR description.
Without credit you can still violate copyright, especially by rewriting the MIT copyright text.
You don't understand how forking works since being FOSS is acceptable to fork from other projects
This is about copying code from others without attribution. You seem to be talking about the GitHub fork button?
Any source code can be forked as long as the project is free to contribution like with FOSS take look at CoMaps and Bforartists which are byproducts of forking for several reasons.
Yes, you can fork FOSS projects but contributors should be mentioned somewhere in the commit message or history, not like "pr backported from godot" or "cherry-picked from blazium".
Not really as long as the original creators contributed or don't get into issues which is complicated depending on the situation you can choose of opt to add they or not.
Copyright laws exist, no matter if users are filing a lawsuit or not.
Crap-less neutral game engine.
Rage fork built on political views which claims to be politically neutral
Who even said that?
