What is RECAM?

RECAM transforms your existing iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android phone into a security camera. No need to purchase a separate camera or create an account. Simply install the app on two devices and pair them with a QR scan.

The app offers live video, on-device detection of people, animals and sounds, three monitoring modes, end-to-end encrypted streams, and local recording. It allows for mixed setups, with different devices pairing with each other.

The app is free to download, with live video and detection alerts free for the first 3 days. After that, a subscription to RECAM Pro is required, costing $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year. The Pro version includes additional features such as a remote siren, voice messages, clip replay and sharing with multiple viewers.

RECAM is designed for indoor use on devices you already own, and does not support web viewing, Windows or Linux apps, infrared night vision, pan or tilt, or continuous cloud recording. It is developed by FRENCHMOB SAS in France.
