Full featured DAW, will accept VST as replacement for Reason's instruments, but overall as easy to use.

Misses instruments but mixing / mastering plugins are ove rthe top. Routing is even easier than Reason cables.

It is more "all in one" than ardour and reaper so you don´t need so much external plugins.

Great modular synth that kinda replaces the whole reason cable thing. Better live abilities. Linux support. Not enough instruments

Most users think Caustic is a great alternative to Reason.
TyrannoSapiensBonsai I discovered Caustic when I bought my first android tablet. I was hoping to find an android app version of REASON, which I was working with for years as an amateur. I loved composing with it whatever came into my mind. Fortunately CAUSTIC was my first try. I liked its logo I guess. The app itself was like a reduced to the max version of my beloved REASON. Installed CAUSTIC on any device I own. So I can create my music wherever I want.
