CuteCom is a graphical serial terminal aimed mainly at hardware developers or other people who need a terminal to talk to their devices.
The project is no longer developed. Last version, 0.22.0, released in June 2009, can be still downloaded from the official website. It does not support terminal type emulation.
The idea is to create a simple and good looking terminal for being able to transmit to and from electronic boards and hardware. It can be configured to show data in hex or string format. It allows manual configuration of the port to use.
