Reado is an IDE built for reading code rather than writing it. You read, select lines and leave typed comments (bug, refactor, question, note); each one is either a task for your coding agent or a note for the next person who reads the code.
One click hands the open tasks to Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Gemini or OpenCode running in Reado's terminal. The agent resolves them through Reado's bundled CLI and MCP server, and Reado shows each task closing as it happens. Comments are plain Markdown files in the repository and re-anchor when the code moves.
Other features: a guided AI review where the agent proposes findings and you approve them, reading coverage (what you have read and what changed since), project tours in an open tour.json format, and a browser preview the agent can inspect.
Open source (MIT), local-first, no account needed. Runs on macOS, Linux and Windows. An optional Pro plan adds sync and team features.
