What is RatelKey?

RatelKey is a self-hosted secrets management platform designed for teams that want strong security without the operational complexity of traditional enterprise secrets infrastructure.

Secrets stay inside your own Burrow instance, while RatelKey provides the surrounding platform for authentication, access management, updates, and administration. It supports projects and environments, machine identities, role-based access control, IP restrictions, detailed audit logs, canary secrets, encrypted backups, webhooks, SAML and OIDC SSO, SCIM provisioning, and access through a CLI and SDKs.

Burrow can run on Linux, Windows, macOS, or Docker, and applications retrieve secrets directly from your infrastructure. The data plane remains independent, so workloads can continue accessing secrets even if RatelKey-hosted services are unavailable.

RatelKey is aimed at teams that have outgrown .env files, CI secret stores, and scattered credentials, but do not want to operate a large supporting platform just to manage secrets securely.
