Comments and Reviews
It looks like the app has been abandoned.
Before I reluctantly joined the internet, I was an enthusiastic radio listener.
Nowadays, I sometimes admit that internet radio is the only good thing that the internet brought to our society.
Very soon I found out that Radio?Sure! is the very best way to listen to radio from all over the world. It is in fact a community of radio lovers from every wind direction. That keeps the situation up-to-date, because everyone can do suggestions for new stations or for stations removal if they stopped broadcasting.
The program is also a search engine for stations in unknown countries and -very handy- for streaming-URLs of radio stations. You can use them for example in the VLC media player if you wish.
Many stations show “Playlist information” on the display and, also very important, the bit-rate and type (quality) of the internet stream. You can pin 30 favourites in the free version, make recordings, adapt the equalizer, choose your own language, or add radio stations just for yourself.
The look of the program can be adapted with beautiful freely available skins.
Personally I start the program with Windows: immediately good music, instead of the boring Windows jingle.
And that’s also the only disadvantage: it only works with Windows.
Even though the radio stations list in the RadioSure sometimes not updated, we can still manually add radio station to the program by getting the playlist (.pls) from our favourites radio station, copy and paste the URL from .pls, add a title and create a new station in the program. Hence, it shouldn't be a problem to listen to the latest radio station out there through this program. So, for me, I think it is still best online streaming radio program with simple interface and easy to use.
Pretty good radio player, if you only want that. Nowadays most media players have online radio support integrated, but it's never they're main purpose and sometimes doesn't work that great. Contrary to that, "Radio Sure" is an application only dedicated to radio listening, it has good features, like the ability to record what you listen, has a decent equalizer, volume normalization, skin support and more. Works flawlessly and runs low on resources. And hey it's free! Give it a try.
Winamp wouldn't play streaming radios correctly, so I switched to Radio Sure and I'm loving it !!!
It's the best radio player, EVER!!! Just cannot wait for Android version! :-D
I had the misfortune of buying it and not receiving a registration code from the company. And now the web page is down, and as stated no new updates in quite some time. Unfortunately this software does indeed seem to be discontinued.
