QuillSpace is a book writing app for novelists and long-form writers. It keeps a whole manuscript in one three-pane workspace: groups and sub-groups for chapters, characters, places and research on the left, sheets you can drag to reorder in the middle, and the editor on the right.
For drafting, QuillSpace has a Focus mode that dims everything except the line or paragraph you are writing, a Typewriter mode that keeps the current line centered, and word-count goals. Your work is saved as plain text files on your own computer, and the app works fully offline. You can export to PDF on both platforms, plus Word and HTML on Windows.
QuillSpace is built for writers who want Scrivener-style organization without a steep learning curve.
The Windows version is available on the Microsoft Store. It is free to start with 3 projects, with monthly, yearly or one-time lifetime plans, and adds an optional Markdown editor and smart filters.
The Mac version is a separate app on the Mac App Store. It is a free download with a one-time lifetime purchase, and adds automatic snapshots of your work.
