QuickTranslate is a Windows translator that works inside the app you are already using, so you never switch to a translator tab.
Write mode: type a message in your own language in any text field (Discord, Slack, Teams, WhatsApp, a browser, a game chat), press Ctrl+Alt+T and the text is replaced with the translation, in the tone you choose: casual, neutral, formal, professional or gamer. You review it and send it.
Read mode: select any text, press Ctrl+Alt+S and the translation appears in a small tooltip next to your cursor. Nothing is replaced and your clipboard is left as it was.
It lives in the system tray, can start with Windows, and both shortcuts can be changed. It supports 10 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Russian.
The free plan needs no account and includes 15 write-mode translations a day plus unlimited read mode. Paid plans raise the daily limit and add custom style instructions. The app does not watch your keyboard: it does nothing until you press the shortcut, it sends no telemetry, and translated text is not stored.
