toddgiaquinto Automatically syncs with all of my accounts but still allows for manual transaction entry (e.g. future bills and scheduled payments). Interface is easy to use and essentially moves Quicken online. Better than alternatives because it focuses on being your online checkbook. Supported by paying customers which keeps it ad free.

The automatic syncing is more convenient than Quicken, where for a number of institutions I have to log in, then download transactions. In addition, I found out first-hand that CountAbout has good customer service. I bank with a small credit union, and the staff went to extra effort to make sure I could get connected.

It links to Fidelity (Quicken doesn't), and it's cloud-based (Quicken isn't).

Not so much because GnuCash is particularly good, but because nothing else is particularly better. GnuCash will get the job done, works very well, and is easy to jump into once you know a few basics.

Moneydance does everything I ever used Quicken for, and it costs less. It was fairly easy to convert my 25 years of Quicken data to Moneydance. Plus, Moneydance doesn't pester you with upgrade reminders.
