What is Quick Scrap Note?
I use Apple Notes as my main note writing apps.
While Apple Notes has Quick Note, every word that I put into Quick Note is automatically saved into Apple Notes. This piles up a lot of junks as I find myself jotting down 2-3 words such as a phone number, a serial number, performing quick calculation - scrap notes that I don't really care to store in Apple Notes.
This is the purpose of this app.
It is plain text only. No frills. It's quick to launch (suggest to configure global hotkey as ^ Space). You can ? E to clear the text off. Use ? D to delete the page. If you want to save, ? S will save to Apple Notes [via a Shortcut link, which can be installed from the Settings of the app). You can do quick calculation by typing an equation followed by ==
(This is powered by SoulverCore, so you could do conversion such as converting kilometers to miles, pounds to kilograms, convert city time. See the screenshot for some example).
