What is PureCut CNC?

PureCutCNC brings precision CNC routing and milling to your preferred workflow. Designed for makers, hobbyists, and CNC enthusiasts, it offers a streamlined process from geometry to G-code generation without expensive subscriptions or forced cloud lock-in.

What sets PureCutCNC apart is its deployment flexibility combined with robust support for both 2.5D and full 3D CAM operations. You can run it as a native desktop application on macOS, Windows, and Linux, or use the fully featured web-based version with zero installation—which even works smoothly on tablets.

You can draw 2D geometry directly or import STL and OBJ meshes to drive 3D surface roughing and finishing passes. Whether you are running a desktop GRBL router or a larger custom-built 4-axis machine, PureCutCNC provides the essential tools needed to design parts, generate efficient toolpaths, and verify them safely before cutting.

Key Features:

True Cross-Platform Support: Run natively on macOS, Windows, and Linux, or directly in the browser across any device (including tablets).

2.5D & 3D CAM Capabilities: Move seamlessly from 2D pockets and edge routing to full 3D surface roughing, parallel finishing, and waterline passes on imported meshes.

3D Toolpath Simulation: Verify your G-code and replay toolpaths against virtual stock in a GPU-rendered simulation to prevent machine crashes and material waste.

Open Source: Written in TypeScript and completely free to use, modify, and host yourself under the Apache 2.0 license.
