What is Project Hamster?
Project Hamster is a time tracking software that monitors time spent on tasks via a GNOME applet. It's ideal for project management and timesheet maintenance, offering a clear view of time allocation. Features include an intuitive interface, autocompletion of recent activities, flexible grouping through @categories and #tags, and customizable views. The software generates exportable, interactive graphical reports, detects idle/off periods, and sends reminders for the current activity. It also offers tag support, full text search, data export in various formats, and internationalization support.

Comments and Reviews
Hamster tracker makes no assumptions about my workflow. It is super simple, doesn't require internet connection, and reminds me what i'm working on in configurable time intervals.
It works well, it's quick and doesn't distract me from work. Used it for years, the only downside is that making it run under Windows is a mess.
I hoped for an app which would track what apps I use and how much time I spend on each one.
Just noticed that toggl.com app has a "record timeline" preference that records which apps/websites and how much time is spent on each one.
Thanks buddy
