What is Popout Authenticator?

Popout Authenticator is a browser extension for two-factor (TOTP/HOTP) codes. Accounts stay in an encrypted vault on your device (AES-256-GCM, Argon2id). There is no account, no developer server, no analytics, and no limit on the number of accounts.

It imports the Authenticator extension's backups (including encrypted ones), Google Authenticator migration QR codes, and plain-text exports from Aegis, 2FAS, Bitwarden, FreeOTP+, andOTP, and Raivo. Codes can be filled into sites you allow, shared as time-limited links that never contain the secret, and synced encrypted through the browser's own sync.

Limits: no cloud backup (backup files and browser sync only), passkey unlock is not available in Firefox, and Safari is supported on macOS only.
